Early 20th century black and red lacquer footed, lidded offering basket with tray made by talented craftspeople of Myanmar. The vessel is black on the inside and red lacquer on the inside. When you lift the lid there is a woven bamboo tray that has been covered in several layers of lacquer. The outer basket has four metal wire circle’s, possibility for hanging. This piece is very sculpted and would be excellent for display purposes.
There is a signature marking on the top of the lid.
