There normally are not too many moose in this state. The powers at be named him "Marty". I created this piece as I do starting with an abstract painting, playing with all sorts of mark making tools and layers of acrylic paint. Then slowly it becomes edited to where a bull moose began to appear. Thing got covered up but can still be seen like the magpie on his back. It comes ready to hang with the sides painted dark brown. At Yellowstone National Park I was able to witness bull moose in the park. They are so wonderfully interesting to see. Their top heavy stature is almost whimsical topped off with pointy spikes at the top of their antler. I find them a joy to paint. See less
