Classic deep basket setting with smooth shoulders holds the massive step-cut citrine stone with double prongs on each corner. The stone's the thing here -- it glows with a warm inner fire that delights and dazzles. The photos show it as a little darker than it is, I couldn't get the light quite right... It's a killer stone in a significant statement piece! Signed "Sterling" and the "U" with arrows for Uncas. Uncas was a division of the Sorrento Company in Providence R.I. and made only rings, starting in 1919; their designs ranged across a wide variety of styles and materials, and their high-end creations like this one were highly sought after.
