1950s Glass & Metal Ceiling Lamp Attributed to Oscar Torlasco for Lumi. Executed in satin textured glass, white painted metal and brass. A highly refined and sculptural design reminiscent of the work of Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte. Unmarked.

Lumi was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Oscar Torlasco was their master. Their lamps stand apart in terms of both functionality and originality.
Each lamp accommodates 2x 60w max equivalent standard candelabra base (e12) LED bulb (LED only, not included). Professionally rewired for US electrical and for mounting over standard US j-box. Not UL listed,.
Some age appropriate scuffs, dings, nicks, patina, and wear as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
Please note only one representative lamp shown in listing images, but both lamps in equally good condition and present well as a pair. Additional images available upon request.
