Armchair by the French ébéniste Pierre-Benoît Marcion with carved lion's heads and paw feet. The frame is made of polished mahogany. The backrests and seats are newly upholstered in a rosé-colored fabric with a gold-colored tassel pattern.
The cabinetmaker Pierre-Benoît Marcion (1769 Paris - 1840 ibid.) was one of Napoleon's main suppliers of furniture of all kinds.
