Here is a beautiful antique solid brass mortar and pestle set. The mortar has a cylindrical shape with a flared mouth and two angular handles at the sides. The baton-shaped pestle has large knob ends at each side to effectively crush and/or grind substances. Both the mortar and pestle have been finished with decorative elements consisting of thin bands while the pestle also has a turned knob at the center. I was lucky enough to find a collection of three and this particular one is the larger size you see in the last photo. I'd love for you to own all three! Very heavy, solid brass.
Mortar is 6 x 5 x 5”h. The pestle is 2 x 2 x 9”h. less
