Bidriware is a metal handicraft developed in the 14th century C.E. The name originates from the township of Bidar in Karnaka, India, which is still the main center of production. The metal used is white brass - alloy of copper and zinc - that is blackened and inlaid with silver.
There are 4 tape rows on the underside with handwritings with history of this piece
Circa 17th/18th century, Mughal dynasty, India
