Made from naturally dyed 100% cotton yarn, these dhurrie rugs have been handwoven by skilled craftsmen in Jaipur. The age old craft has been passed on for generations in the weaver families of Rajasthan. This intricate art requires days of work by master weavers in order to be able to deliver such a fine rug piece that can enhance the look of any room in your home/office! *Please note this is a made to orderrug that takes 1-2 weeks to make.
Care Instructions:
1) In case of liquid spills, you need to use a mild detergent solution with a
sponge to soak in the liquid. But do not rub it as rubbing will cause the
stain to spread. You can also spot clean with paper towels.
2) Do not use any harsh detergents as they might cause harm to the fabric.
You can test the solution on a hidden part of the rug before attempting
to clean the affecting area to check if it causes any discoloration.
3) You can use a solution of White Vinegar and Cold Water to spot clean
as well.
4) You can also cold wash the cotton rugs in the machine in very severe
cases, then air dry. Do not use hot water and hot drying as it might
cause shrinkage.
5) Dhurries usually do not require a lot of maintenance as they are flat-
woven and reversible, but regular vacuuming is recommended to clean
dirt.
6) We also recommend using a rug pad with the dhurries to increase their
life.
7) If the option is available, and the damage is very severe, professional
rug cleaning is advised.
8) Avoid using any cleaners with bleaching agents. less
