From a simpler time, this piece evokes a shabby chic, rustic, cottage feel. The piece is entirely handmade, cut from fine oak plywood using old tiny nails to assemble, handpainted, circa 1920-30s. The natural wood grain pattern is cleverly used to evoke the stripes of a tabby cat. Great "cabin in the woods" feel will add to any eclectic decor scheme. May have been a Summer camp craft project from long ago! Bottom wood panel is old Southern pine, as it was traditional to use pine for the secondary portions in handmade pieces.
