This is a set of 4 vintage folding steel and leather dining chairs by Calletan Italia. These iconic "Bella" chairs were designed by Georgio Cattelan in 1989. The chairs were sourced from a German family who brought them into the US from Europe.
The dining chairs have heavy-duty tubular steel frames powder coated in matte black. The seats are made of burgundy leather with contrast stitching. The legs retain all original durable plastic caps to protect the floor. The chairs fold for storage. The chairs are all signed, with Cattelan Italia labels under the seats.
The chairs are in good vintage condition with wear consistent with age. The chairs beautiful, well made, and very durable. The leather seats are in excellent condition with no scratches or fading. The steel frames have some wear on the powder coated finish, including scratches. The chair folding hardware operates smooth as butter, but there is rust present on them. Each chair measures 32" tall, 16.75" wide and 20.5" deep, and the seat height is 18.5 inches. When folded, the chair depth is 13 inches.
