Fine original Empire or early Biedermeier Commode/ Chest of Drawers in Walnut veneered with Caryatid columns, from Austria/Vienna about 1810-15.
Lovely book-matched walnut veneer on softwood. Excellent french polished surface. Exceptional carved caryatid pilasters depicting of temple guards with hoods, raised and gilded in older restoration. Dimensions: H 86 cm x W 118 cm x D 58 cm.
