This ironstone serving bowl, designed by LaGardo Tackett for Schmid, is an excellent example of minimalist mid-century design. Simple and clean-lined and with a wide, low profile, the bowl's only ornamentation is a single relief-molded line circling the exterior about 1.25" below the rim.
More commonly found in the 8" and 10" wide size, this bowl has a larger, 12" diameter. The condition is very good, with very light utensil wear and some light contact scuffing on the base. There are several bubbles in the glaze (see one example in photo) which occurred during production.
