Fireplace clock in gilded antimony with large rectangular base decorated with festoons and surmounted by Venus resting on a structure with a column of the classical age. Dial with Roman numeral hours in enamelled metal protected by a lid with curved but damaged glass. Mechanism marked Japy Freres & C. Grand medal d'honneur. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
