Antique "medallion" porcelain vase, also known as "famille rose", imposing and beautifully proportioned
Made in Canton, circa 1800
The rose medallion pattern was especially popular between 1830 and 1930 and is even more so today.
The beautiful motif unfolds on several panels hand-painted and decorated in enamel with figures of noble homes inside courtyards and pavilions, - floral and foliated borders -
There are gold decorated figures on all the handles, so that each side presents a different scene
Pink medallion porcelain was produced in China during the 19th and 20th centuries.
It is a distinctive design with four or more panels of decoration around a central medallion that includes a bird or peony.
The patterns are colored in green, pink and other colors, similar to the classic Rose Canton and Rose Mandarin styles.
