Beautiful large Art Deco vase handmade by Arne Bang in Denmark the 1930s. Wonderful expressive glazing. Painted with signature "AB" to base. Unique piece without model number. Great condition with one tiny chip underneath the base. Arne Bang (1901-1983) was a Danish sculptor and ceramic designer. Bang was a trained sculptor and made sculptures in the public space. It is as a designer of stoneware, silver and tin that he is known nationally and internationally. In 1929, Arne Bang got a job at Holmegaard Glasværk, where he started and was responsible for the production of Holmegaards Stentøj. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
