Spectacular Jaru Black Ceramic Cubist Sculpture, c.1970.
A coveted Jaru sitting nude Jaru sculpture in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips, or worn spots. Signature on bottom of sculpture.
Jaru Pottery was founded in 1945 by Jack and Ruth Hirsch. They combined the first two letters of both names and launched the company with a focus on commissioning unknown sculptures to create decorative objects.
Made in California circa 1970, this distinctive cubist modernist sculpture makes a stunning statement.
Excellent vintage condition.
