Alpine cabinet painted dated 1825
measurements: h. 200 cm – w. 130 cm (142 at the frames) cm – d. 47 cm (53 at the frames) cm
period: 1825
origin: bavaria - halblech/greith
wood: fir
:
beautiful painted cabinet with two doors, in perfect condition, entirely painted in light blue.
the doors and the upper cornice are softly shaped and between the two are the name of the client and the date of construction.
on the doors there are four panels of oxidized white, containing rich bouquets of multi-colored flowers, joined by a red bow. The same motifs are present on the notches.
on the sides there are painted panels with a fake briar background and on one of them, very rare, there is an inscription made by the author: "johannes straubiner from niederhofen made in april 1825". (the plural form of the german writing indicates that j. Straubiner made both the cabinet-making and the pictorial part).
inside there are two original shelves, which can be integrated with additional shelves and/or a coat hanger pole, depending on the needs.
the hardware is beautiful: key, lock, hinges all original and working, including the particular snap lock on the left door.
