This is a handsome antique Victorian ships desk, a rare and distinctive looking piece which is perfect for use in an office or home study.
The desk is solid and heavy, made of solid mahogany and oak, it has the benefit of splitting into three parts, making it easy to transport and position in any room.
The desk came from the cabin of a ship and bears stamps to each of the three sections. The left hand pedestal and top are from the same cabin, the right hand pedestal is from another cabin.
Each pedestal has three spacious drawers which are oak lined and finished with heavy aged metal cup handles.
The top of the desk is finished with a low raised gallery and fitted with a durable black scriver.
The wood has a darkly stained finish which has been cleaned and waxed.
CONDITION
The desk is in solid structural condition with many cosmetic marks and wear to the finish commensurate with age and use.

kneehole space measures 55cms high x 45cms wide
