Inspired by the unadorned beauty of a chair liberated from its upholstery and the frame exposed – the Restoration Hardware (RH) replicated the old world artistry in the English Roll Arm Chair. A distressed walnut frame, accented with nailheads, is complemented by the texture of burlap and fabric.
English Roll Arm Chair
- Over-stuffed back, rolled arms, and front legs with ribbed vasiform supports and brass castors
- Built by hand with a kiln-dried, corner-blocked solid walnut frame
- Features a deeply tufted seat cushion, visible whipstitching and nailheads
- Two layers of burlap cover the back and the rail below the seat
- The walnut frame and legs are smoothly sanded and given a matte finish to look as they would before the final stain and polish; nicks, imperfections and natural variations in color are to be expected
- Wide jute strapping supports the 8-way hand-tied seat spring
- Fabric is Belgian Linen in the color Sand
- Two front legs sit on non-locking casters
- Seat cushions are a down-blend fill; a thin foam core wrapped with 80% feathers and 20% down
