This gorgeous and massive Chinese eight-panel coromandel screen features elegant cranes on a mountaintop landscape over shimmering gold leaf background. Each panel is encased in black lacquered border that is incised with golden dragons all around. The screen depicts cranes, peonies, mountaintop, and pine trees with enormous amount of intricate details of pine needles, all incised with beautiful colors. Each panel is supported by square legs with brass clad feet. The opposite side of the screen features a stark landscape of a flora and fauna waterscape with ducks and rocks. These panels are heavy and solid and are conjoined with modern hardware.
