"Susanna and the Elders" painted in tempera and watercolor on paper, 19th century - 88 x 79 Anonymous author. (Excellent quality)
The scene depicted in the painting is taken from the Old Testament, from the Book of the Prophet Daniel (13, 1-64), it illustrates the defeat of the lie, expressed in the two old men - depicted with a concupiscent look and expression and the victory of the truth represented by the naked Susanna. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
