The table's distinctive shape includes a scalloped leather top and a hand-tooled gilded border. The leather has developed a warm patina over time, highlighting its rich and well-preserved texture. Four inlaid circular embellishments add to the attractiveness of this piece, while the intricate tabletop in the two-tiered design is made of beautiful mahogany wood. Curved cupboards with elegantly detailed mahogany veneers flank each side of the table, revealing concealed storage when pressed to open. Each cabinet is outfitted with lion's head brass pulls. Finally, the table is supported by a magnificent carved pedestal base with four splayed legs adorned with acanthus leaf carvings and tapering into claw-like feet.
