A 19th century French Louis Philippe style bureau plat, or desk, made of solid and veneer of mahogany. Two dovetailed drawers with working locks and one key. Original leather top with gold embossed trim. Turned tapered legs with ball feet. Sturdy and well-crafted. Oak as a secondary wood. Minor veneer losses and replacement. Finish retains a nice luster. All original. Chair not included. Circa 1880-1900.
