Beautiful Art Nouveau mirror made in the 1940s. The particularity of the shape that wraps like the branches of a tree that intertwine around a large drop of glass is striking. The wood is lacquered to imitate tuya briar while the etched crystal mirrors are decorated with a pair of bird and flower designs. In the 1940s, sinuous and enveloping shapes reminiscent of the Art Nouveau style were still appreciated; Since the war years, rationalism was widespread but in the richest homes it was possible to find furniture of great refinement and charm such as this mirror.
Excellent state of conservation.
