This stunning George William Coblentz original oil painting, on canvas board, depicts a breathtaking desert landscape, expertly crafted using the technique of oil painting. The piece is framed and signed by the artist, making it a valuable addition to any art collection.
George Coblentz (1896-1974) spent his youth in Tacoma, Washington. During World War I, he served as a topographical mapper and scout in Europe. After moving to Los Angeles in 1923, he was a cartoonist for the Evening Herald. A world traveler, subjects of his paintings include scenes of Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the U.S.
Known for his Desert landscape, coastal and seascape painting & cartoons.
