Urban, interior (Veduta … Read more Giovanni Battista Piranesi 18th-century (ca. 1767) etching "The so-called Temple of Bacchus, now the Church of S. Urban, interior (Veduta interna dell antico Tempio di Bacco, or. di S. Urbano)" from his famous Vedute di Roma series which depicted famous ancient Roman sites. Please excuse the glares and reflections from the glass as this is a framed and matted work, and it is ready to hang. This is a lifetime print that was matted with an archival acid-free mat in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (about 20 years ago) and the conservator who did this work signed the inside of the mat.
