The deep orange background is the perfect setting for a print depicting an ancient scene with figures in traditional Thai costumes displaying shades of beige and army green. The scene gradually fades at the edges and gives the impression of a rubbing. Jim Thompson was an American art collector who dedicated himself to bringing the craftsmanship of Thai weavers to the world market. This scarf is a lovely example of the artisan work produced by a company which continues to provide fine fabrics for interior upholstery and home decor.
