Göran Wärff (1933-2022) was a renowned Swedish glass artist. He joined Kosta Boda in 1964. His innovative work significantly shaped the brand’s reputation for artistic, handcrafted glassware.

Wärff’s designs reflect his fascination with nature, the play of light on water, and his deep respect for traditional craftsmanship. His work frequently integrates asymmetry and transparency, emphasizing glass’s unique ability to interact with light and color.

Wärff primarily used lead crystal, especially valued for its ability to enhance light refraction, creating vibrant reflections and depth.
