The chairs feature incredible genuine gold … more This is a spectacular pair of Fauteuil à la Reine or extremely formal armchairs. The chairs feature incredible genuine gold leaf gilding and beautiful black leather upholstery. The chairs are in good antique condition and the leather is good and will show minor signs of age and use which is apparent in the photos but is minor at best. The chairs are very heavy at 60lbs or so and not lightweight at all. They date to the 1890s era and are superb. Measures 44.25 tall x 26.25 wide x 29.25 and seat height is 19 inches. less
