Exciting Details on this Hand Crafted Quirky Figure of a Toy Maker, and his wares, happily presenting us and enjoying his relaxing pastime. When utilized, smoke from the incense will gently rise from the Toymaker’s pipe for all to enjoy. He’s a happy sight and very well made. The artist started making incense carvings from one piece of wood in the early 1800’s and placed the incense next to it. It was 1830 when they began making a 2 piece sculpture that could hold the incense inside. Very good vintage condition with some small paint flakes around the edge of his coat; otherwise in great used condition.
