Gorgeous wall decoration, not just a mirror, as per wonderful description on how it became: "French King Louis XIV called himself the “Sun King”—giver of light around which courtly life revolved. He was a great (if not modest) patron of the arts as well as longest ruling king of France, and over time, the sunburst become a symbol of his reign". This mirror is Italian made, with modern shabby chic flare, antique white painted metal straw rays and jewels around the center. Mirror is in good condition, showing light age / use wear (please see photos). Size is impressive 35" diameter overall, while the gilt center is 13.5", and mirror portion is 9.5" diameter. Great decoration for any traditional, contemporary or mid-century modern setting ! See less
