Louis XVI commode / chest of drawers hand-made in France in the late 1700s/early 1800s. The chest features three rows of inset drawers. On the first row we find three smaller drawers, whereas the following two rows have one drawers each. Each drawer shows large, hand-made dovetail joints and the fronts are framed by angular molding. The corners and the tapered legs show vertical fluting, The top is made of three chamfered, inset boards framed on three sides, and it features rounded corners, following the shape of the case.
Overall this is a beautiful and well-made piece of furniture with gorgeous and elegant lines. Its light color give it a very modern look, and it will be a great addition to any room where one wants to combiner traditional and modern furniture.
