Made with handwoven wool, this 9x10 rug is an exciting new addition to Rug & Kilim’s Scandinavian “Nu” rug collection—a contemporary reimagining of Swedish minimalism and vintage rugs and textiles of Rollakan and Rya traditions.
On the design:
Our “Nu” flat weave enjoys a boucle-like texture of blended yarns, and a look both impressionistic and comfortable. Keen eyes will admire the cool look of striae and subtle color variation, and the sense of movement they create. This rug exemplifies that principle with subtle impressionistic geometric patterns on a field of sage green, teal blue, beige and cream hues. Our modern flat weave further enjoys our reputed, heavier body with buckle resistance and greater durability against foot traffic. A comfortable, sophisticated contribution to the Swedish Deco aesthetic that both innovates and honors mid-century Scandinavian rugs.
