The Triumph of 1813) depicts Napoleon in profile, his face made up of the corpses of his victims, which led to the moniker "der Leichenkopf"’ or the "corpse head." This print was by far the most successful caricature of Napoleon. The hat is a Prussian eagle, which grips Napoleon firmly in its claws. The corpses that form Napoleon's face signify the hundreds of thousands of people who fell victim to his quest for great power. Below the title of the cartoon, as in the original, the Brothers Henschel wrote: Den Deutschen zum Neuenjahr 1814, which translates to: "To the Germans for the New Year 1814," the year in which the German's defeated Napoleon.
