The metal "rays" appear to … Read more We found this charming, stylised sunburst mirror at an auction north or Raleigh, North Carolina. The metal "rays" appear to be aluminium or some sort of aluminium-alloy; the mirror is extremely lightweight and would be safe to hang almost anywhere. It was in very good condition when we acquired it. There were a few scratches on the metal, and we have worked meticulously to match the beautiful patina in order to mask those scratches. I believe that you will now find it difficult or even impossible to find any imperfections. The diameter of the full piece is 23 1/2 inches. The mirror in the center has a diameter of 9 1/2 inches.
