This Truly is an Outstanding, Quite Rare and Very Beautiful Antique 2 Piece American Sterling Silver Tea Ball Strainer - Infuser Set. The Ball is Completely Hand Made - Rendered in a Intricate Fancy Hand Chased & Repousse High Relief Rococo Revival Style with Flowers. The Drip Plate - Base has Fancy Embossed Repousse Features and the Tea Ball Holder, Handle & Riser Stand is Sold Cast Sterling Silver. It has a Fancy Hand Engraved 3 Letter Monogram on its Designated Front Panel. It is Marked STERLING with Model Numbers 250. It is Not Signed but Based on My Many Years of Dealing in Silver I am Quite Sure that it was also Made by Gorham ( Most Likely a Special Order Custom Shop Piece ). The Base - Stand with Drip Plate does Bear the Maker Mark of The Gorham Manufacturing Company. NOTE that the Stand is Also Embossed with a "Bell" - This Being the Documented Gorham Date Mark Confirming that it was Produced in 1900. NOTE Also that the Drip Plate Has a Wonderful Personalized Whimsical Hand Engraved Presentation Feature that Reads "CHEER UP CHEER UP". The Set is in Very Good Cosmetic and Perfectly Usable Condition - Displays Beautifully!. It has been Well Taken Care of & Loved. It has No Repairs or Other Issues Worth Mentioning. It has Some Very Light Honest Age and Use Related Wear Etc and it is Mildly Tarnished. The Tea Ball has a Solid Sterling Silver Weight of 27.27 Grams / 0.877 Troy Ounce. The Stand - Plate Weighs 42.33 Grams / 1.361 Troy Ounces. The Pair has a Substantial Combined Solid Sterling Silver Total Weight of Approx 69.60 Grams / 2.238 Troy Ounces.
