A fine late eighteenth century Directoire Period walnut 3-seater settee or hall seat, featuring pierced splats with lozenge and star brass inlay, with scrolling arms in the form of swans, completed with a canework seat and raised upon eight sabre legs. Made in France in the last decade of 18th Century. Good antique condition. The settee is sturdy and ready to be used. There are some signs of time and use, such as small chips and scratches on the wood, but nothing major considering its age. See less
