This exquisite set of two Japanese porcelain teacups (Yunomi 湯のみ) is a refined example of Arita-ware, originating from the renowned Kisen-gama kiln. The set dates back to the early Shōwa period and is entirely hand-painted, making each cup unique.
Dimensions: Height 6 cm, diameter 9 cm. Marked on the bottom by the Kisen-gama kiln.
The rich decoration combines vibrant colors such as blue, red, gold, and green on a bright white base. The design features elegant floral motifs (including chrysanthemums, a symbol of longevity) and traditional Japanese geometric patterns that convey harmony and balance. The softly scalloped rims of the cups add an extra touch of sophistication.
Drinking tea from these cups is a true pleasure. Not only do they enhance the flavor of the tea, but they also provide an aesthetic experience that perfectly complements a Japanese tea ceremony or serves as a decorative centerpiece.
A unique addition for enthusiasts of Japanese antiques and traditional craftsmanship. This piece has an attribution mark,
