This large Alsatian sandstone vase comes from the Betschdorf pottery of Paul Schmitter. An interestingly shaped piece, the vase has a wide open neck and a potbellied belly. Sober, classic and imposing, it is a striking decorative piece.
The salt stoneware vase is very large in size. It is in very good condition. It is signed Paul Schmitter Grès d’Alsace France on the reverse. Some traces of use are visible on the surface of the vase.
18cm in diameter, 26cm in height.
