Armchair originally designed for the office but which is also perfect for home use, as a lounge chair in a living room or in the bedroom to hang clothes. Designed by Ico Parisi between the 50s and 60s, this swivel chair is part of the "Terni" series, made in Italy by the historic furniture company "MIM Roma"
The vintage office chair we are offering is not only swivel, thanks to the wheels attached to the black painted aluminum base, but also has a pneumatic adjustment of the seat height. The design of this Mid Century Modern armchairs, especially how the seat connects to the backrest, recalls for its enveloping shape and the materials used the iconic Ottoman Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The seat and backrest are made of curved plywood veneered in mahogany essence, padded and covered in cognac-colored leather, they have been thoroughly cleaned and subjected to a conservative restoration. The chair works and is in good vintage condition, it shows minimal signs of use and time visible in photos and videos. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
