Made by premier … Read more This West German floor vase of Mid-Century Modern style is one of the Largest i’ve seen offered. Made by premier ceramics firm Carstens Tonniesh is coated in a beautiful high-relief glaze. The tones range from grey to cream and are highlighted with an almost iridescent celadon green. It has a thick impasto texture that shimmers in light. The piece is very sturdy and literally in pristine condition. It dates to circa 1960. Purchased by the family after leaving Armenia, immigrating to Egypt, and finally making their way west; with residences in Canada and the USA. The proportions are striking and the weight is substantial. All hallmarks are shown for authenticity. See less
