The painting depicts a harbor scene in Brittany France, at sunset, with a group of ladies, presumably workers, being ferried across the water after work. Signed in the lower left corner. The painting has scattered craquelure and has been professionally restored and re-lined. It is framed in a modern frame with archival backing. It measures 22 1/2" high by 28" wide, including the frame. Gaston Boucart was a French painter, etcher and lithographer. He is primarily known for his brightly colored depictions of Venice.
