This piece is … more Wooden equestrian horse head brooch with painted eye topping a carved riding crop also made of wood. This piece is accented with genuine leather around the horse head. It has faux leather wrap around the edges and the horse's reins (a bit worn on the reins). We believe this brooch dates to the 1940s. Measures about 3 1/8" long and just under 1 1/2" wide. Condition is excellent overall for this type of costume jewelry with no cracks or chips and nice detailing to the carving. less
