The 2 tier, plump, set of 4, tassels we are offering for sale were most likely knitted by hand and created in Sienna, the heart of Tassel manufacturing in Italy. They are dated to the mid-1980's and are a rayon blend and have a wooden core.
Indeed, these pair of 4 retain their original “Made in Italy “tag and one tag says, “Hand Made in Italy colour no. 42” with a separate" Rayon" material label. Clover's Cottage purchased them at an Interior Decorator's estate sale.
