The impressive Valentine shellwork has a cover which is now displayed separately. The valentine is in an octagonal mahogany box and the shells are displayed, without glazing, in a diamond-shaped design with green and red dividers. The border has a light-colored wood band. The cover with an inlaid compass rose design in a two-tone color.
Dimensions: 15-inch diameter x 1 1/2 inches deep without cover; Cover: 15 inches x 1/4 inch high.
