What makes this set unusual is that it consists of six regular size dining chairs and two slightly smaller chairs whose design is identical to the larger chairs. This set was made for an affluent family that wanted the home's dining chairs to be comfortable for two children. These two chairs while smaller scale are of adequate size to fit adults if needed (you can see the difference in size in the third to last photo where the two types of chairs are side by side). In our fifty years of handling Swedish furniture we have never seen an equivalent set. The chairs are in excellent structural shape with wonderful carving. The surface is a pleasingly worn grey-white. The seats have had their original upholstery removed but retain their burlap under foundation. The sizes shown below are for the six larger chairs, the dimensions of the smaller chairs are 35" H x 18.5" W x 14.5" D, seat height is 18.5", seat depth is 14.5". See less
