Unique Danish storage furniture from Salin from the 1960s. Beautiful and rare storage furniture, designed and manufactured by Salin in Denmark in the 1960s. This chest, originally intended as a luxury sewing box, combines functionality with a sleek, timeless design. Nice to combine in a midcentury, Japandi or modern interior. The chest is made entirely of solid teak wood and leather, with refined details such as the organically rounded corners and visible finger joints, which emphasize the artisanal craftsmanship. The original leather strap keeps the wooden flap in the correct position when open, while the invisible castors ensure easy movement of the furniture. Inside, the chest offers a surprising amount of storage space, including an original wooden inlay tray. This tray, equipped with the same finger joints, can be smoothly pushed aside or removed completely for extra convenience. The wooden hinges on the inside complete the design and provide a stylish appearance. We have carefully cleaned the furniture and provided the wood and leather with the correct maintenance.
