Signed lower right, "Ament" for Janet Ament de la Roche (American, 1916-2000), a listed artist and painted circa 1955. Ament studied in Paris with André L’Hote at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. She exhibited widely and with success, including at the Salon d'Automne at the Grand Palais and the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the San Francisco Museum of Fine Art and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. less
