The intricate layering and detail on these is masterful throughout, including gold and silver leaf technique. The framing in and of itself is gorgeous with a grayish-taupe linen matting and an inner metallic wood trim. Quite the regal and demanding presence in a large formal living area or office space.

Left picture is titled “Mycenaean Fragments I” and right picture titled “Mycenaean Fragments II” with both signed and numbered 10 of 275.

Mycenaean art was influenced by the art of Minoan Crete, but the Mycenaeans developed their own distinct style that was more austere and inflexible. Mycenaean art also influenced later Greek art. See less
