I purchased this beautiful piece from a Heywood-Wakefield furniture dealer in Manhattan in the late 1990's and this was the … Read more I purchased this beautiful piece from a Heywood-Wakefield furniture dealer in Manhattan in the late 1990's and this was the beginning of my quest for mid-century furniture and decor. The original wood is solid birch with a wheat finish but was enhanced with a lacquer finish the dealer had applied (sprayed) so was even - no drip marks and it made the piece look fresh and new. It has the original functional double glass door fronts. Since we are downsizing, we have to give it up but hope to find it a new loving home. See less

The piece is fully functional, drawers and side lower cabinet doors open and close fully. It's sturdy - doesn't wabble, the top hutch attaches to lower drawer cabinet with small brackets and screws in the back. There's a tiny chip on the glass door and some small scratches on the sides of the cabinets. less
